Serving Spoon

The Serving Spoon is a non-governmental food ministry program of our church that is based out
of the Community Christian Outreach Center (12002 N Puma Rd). On Wednesdays, 12 noon – 2
pm, fresh produce and other items are given out to whoever comes. On Thursdays, 10 am – 1
pm, food and hygiene boxes, and even pet food, are given to households on a once/month
basis. Please contact our Outreach Center by phone at 520.389.8906, or by
Email at outreachpastor@MaranaDisciples.org.

“Community Christian Church started Serving Spoon as a year-round food distribution project, in which we put together sack lunches and distributed them. It has grown into a ministry that gives out about 25000 pounds of food a month! This ministry is very open – all are welcome.” –James Blankinship (our Outreach Pastor, prior to going to be with the Lord on March 12, 2018).

“We serve not only food but hugs and prayers, too. People have donated time, money and non-food items for us to hand out. I have seen the positive effect we have had on those we serve and feel blessed by God tenfold.” – Serving Spoon Team Member Tammy Gregoire

For volunteer opportunities, or to donate items or money, please contact our Outreach
Coordinator Kim Blankinship by phone at 520.389.8906, or by email at

Saturday Food Distribution

On the 3rd Saturday of the month, at our church, we have a food distribution (like Serving
Spoon, not government supported) from 8:30 until the food runs out. Produce, milk, cereals,
canned foods, and more – collected from Tucson’s Caring Ministries – are available, and given
for free. For volunteer opportunities, or to donate items or money, please contact our Pastoral
Assistant, Pastor Nacho Guerrero, by phone at 520.301-6159. You may also leave an email with
the church at office@MaranaDisciples.org.
